Progress continues on new music.  In the works is an ambient project similar to "Lucid Dreaming" in stylistic concept.

A few new jazz singles, some previously recorded but never released, will be released in the coming months. There are also plans for a solo piano project.  Keep your ears tuned and thanks for listening!

RECording news

Production continues with Miami, FL based smooth jazz saxophonist Wayne Gutshall, who is completing a new album to be released later this year or early 2024.  In late 2022, Wayne released his second song from the upcoming album called "Spanish Love" which was mixed by myself with Michael Fuller of Fuller Sound (Miami, FL) mastering for on-line release.  Featured on this song are the talents of acclaimed guitarist Steve Oliver.

"Spanish Love" has been featured and done very well on Spotify and other internet based jazz charts.

HUGE FUSE / TRINITY ONE

Blue Canoe Records has released a compilation project of contemporary jazz tunes mixed in the Dolby Atmos format.  Compiled by producer and bassist Jimmy Haslip, it is perhaps the first album of its genre to be remixed in this format.  All of the songs, including "Trinity One", are either produced, composed, or performed by Jimmy (as in my case).  I am honored to be included on this project along with this elite group of fantastic musicians.  Huge Fuse is also available in stereo on Apple Music, Spotify, and other online retailers.  Click on the pic below for liner notes and more info!

"PEACE FOR YOU" - a song for Hurricane Florence - one Harbor MUSIC

Produced and recorded in September 2018 by Chris Pruett for One Harbor Church in response to the extreme flooding of the area by Hurricane Florence.  Many members of this church network were directly affected by the storm.   The song was recorded literally as the hurricane was raining right over our heads here in the mountains.  It was an amazingly creative Sunday at Balsam Pillow Studio as this song went from concept, production and on-line release in less than 48 hours.   Featuring Ryan Marshall on vocals and Phillip Davis on piano and keyboards, this is a song created to encourage and inspire those suffering from of the effects of this destructive storm.
