As it was in the day of Noah, so it shall be at the coming of the Son of Man. (Matthew 24:37)
"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
(1 Corinthians 15:51-52)
"Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour... for you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night." (Matthew 25:13, 1 Thessalonians 5:2)
"But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." (Matthew 24:43-44)
These prophetic words from the Word of God speak of an event I call The Harpazo Event. The Harpazo Event is simultaneous with the doctrine of the "Rapture" of the Church and marks the beginning of a new era in history known in the Scriptures as The Day of the Lord. (Please click on the links for more information)
The word "harpazo" is found in the New Testament passage (1 Thessalonians 4:17) and speaks of an event when the true Church (the Bride of Christ) is rescued (snatched away or caught up) from the aftermath of a catastrophic act of nature that will come upon the world. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 speaks of the context of this event. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 describe the event in detail.
Simply stated, the Harpazo Event will be triggered by a cataclysmic act of nature. Just as the world was subjected to the natural catastrophe of the flood of Noah, so it shall be when Christ returns in judgment. However, this flood is not a flood of water because God promised never to flood the earth with water again. (Genesis 9:15) No, this will be as a flood of light, in frequencies and forms of radiation we cannot see with our eyes.
Moreover, just as Noah's flood was global, the Harpazo Event is global. It will be sudden, quick, and unexpected. It will be in the form of a solar flare, series of flares, or some other unknown space weather phenomena of such magnitude that has not hit the earth since the modern age of electricity.
Again, The Harpazo Event is a natural disaster that will be on the same scale as the biblical flood of Noah. (Matthew. 24:37) This cataclysm will destroy the world’s electrical and satellite infrastructure through a naturally produced EMP and/or other geomagnetic phenomena that will have unprecedented effects. The Word also describes the event as being accompanied by a loud sound that will encompass the Earth. (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
Most of civilization (commerce, economy, government at all levels, manufacturing, transportation, medical, military) will come to an immediate halt as the event causes electricity to vanish from the face of the Earth. The event will have unimaginable consequences and will throw the world into lawlessness, back to the functionality and technology of the mid 19th century, without any economic or manufacturing infrastructure to support it. In history, The Harpazo Event will mark the end of the modern technological age.
As stated above, it is also the end of the age for the true Church of Christ. The Scripture guarantees that no true believer in Jesus Christ will suffer because of this event. (1 Thessalonians 1:10, Revelation 3:10) For all followers of Jesus, The Harpazo Event is, as it was in the day of Noah and his family, the Day of Rescue and Redemption.
Most importantly, all who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ will be saved from the consequences of this Event. There is no other name in heaven or earth by which we may be saved. (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). This is The Harpazo Event: the rescue of the Church, who is the bride of Christ. Just as Noah was saved by an ark, so the Church will be saved by an arc. An arc from the Sun.
"For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." (Revelation 19:10)
You are invited to comment on these words. They are words of warning and wisdom to the true Church of Christ, and as a sign and message to those who have not yet heard. As Jesus said, the world is not expecting this event... if they were, they would have done something to prevent it.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved..."
